• What areas do you service?

We are able to deliver fresh, frozen and refrigerated goods with our own temperature-controlled fleet all over the GTA and a growing area of Southern Ontario. Including but not limited to: Toronto, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Markham, Vaughan, Kitchener, New Market, Aurora, Bradford, Barrie, Hamilton, Guelph, Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, Simcoe, London, Niagara region, St. Catharines, Whitby, Ajax, Pickering, Brantford, Peterborough, among others. 

• My business is out of your delivery area, can you still service us?

Of course! We will simply use a third party carrier and the cost will vary depending on the amount of refrigerated and frozen goods we have to ship. 

• I’m local, can I drop by and cash and carry?

Yes! Our regular business hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm, drop by anytime, we would be happy to serve you. 

• We prefer buying through our food service distributor, can you work with them? 

Yes! Once you have decided which products you are interested, you can simply connect us with the person that manages your account at your distributor and we will list the product. (Examples: Gordon Food Service or GFS, Sysco, Flannigans, Stewards, Colabor, etc). 

• I’m interested in a product that I don’t see on your website, can you source it?

Yes! Our product assortment includes over 1000 articles but we are constantly innovating and we love partnering with our customers in the process. So by all means tell us what’s on your mind and we can explore the opportunity together. 

• Can you deliver on the weekends?

Weekends are not included in our regular routes with our own fleet, however our philosophy is all about meeting our customer needs. So we are always open to finding solutions and making exceptions as needed to get the job done. 

• Can I buy for my personal use?

Of course! The most comfortable way is to visit www.sombrerolatinfoods.ca or our Amazon store, and we will deliver to your home anywhere in Canada. If you are local, you can also drop by and cash and carry during our regular business hours. 

• What products do you specialize in?

We started our business specialized in Mexican and Latin products. That includes everything from empanadas and dulce de leche (milk caramel spread) from Argentina to Peruvian specialties like corn, potatoes and peppers (also known as “chiles”). 

From a little further north, we carry products like cassava (also known as ”yuca”), plantain and specialty beans from Colombia, Costa Rica and from all over Central America. From Mexico, we offer everything from churros to tortillas, from dried chiles to salsas and from canned jalapenos to specialty spices like achiote and epazote.

Dairy products is another one of our specialties, we offer our own line of authentic latin cheeses made in Canada with 100% Canadian Milk. 

For anyone with a sweet tooth, we carry all kinds of treats, including Pirucream (Pirulin) from Venezuela, Havanna alfajores from Argentina, Chocoramo from Colombia and all kinds of snacks made with Guava, Coconut and Chocolate. 

More recently, we have also expanded to include some niche products from Asia and Europe. Stay tuned, as you will likely see our distribution, selection and geographical reach expanding in the near future.
